The kids and I decided to high tail it to Lodi leaving poor Daddy behind while hard at work. But boy did we have fun anyway! Grandma sent me out the door for a very rare, although much appreciated, shopping trip while she put Grandpa and the lil' Sims to work fashioning Christmas decorations to hang on their cut out tree. Afterwards, we were visited by Parker & co. -Parker of course dazzled us all with his new army crawl moves -reminiscent of Matthew circa 2011.

Sofia suffers

Poor Sofia! Got a urinary tract/kidney infection and a big, painful shot in her leg as a result. Her screams are still echoing through the halls!

The Princess and the Frog...and the Duck

This Halloween, Sofia insisted on being a princess. Not even a scary princess but a beautiful, heartwarming princess. To go with the theme, Nicholas happily donned a frog costume. Originally, it was going to be the Princess and the Frogs. But upon seeing a duck costume at the party store, Matthew opting for loyalty to his duck friends (ask him about his swim with the ducks and his new duckman persona sometime) over his own siblings, insisted on the duck costume. All three were quite proud as they glided, hopped, and waddled down the street demanding candy from complete strangers. This was the boys' first year trick or treating and boy, did they catch on like champs. After some mild wariness by Nicholas, by the third house, the boys were regular pros, snatching candy eagerly from plentiful bowls of kit kats, reese's, and organic chocolate (remember this is Los Altos) and always remembering to say "Thanks!" With the family in tow (parents, grandparents, godmother, and a Danny), we hit every house on the block until we could walk no more -except Nicholas who was rearing to go after all the jack-o-lanterns had lost their flame. We retired to the casa for some cider and Its the great pumpkin charlie brown and called it a night, snuggling cozy in our beds (with the exception of three over tired kids who struggled to fall asleep for several more hours).

The Great Weigh In

At 28 mos, Matthew weighing in at 22lbs2oz, 32in and Nicholas at 24lbs4oz, 34 3/4in!

Waiting for Nana

The kids are excited about going to the airport to pick up Nana...Sofia insisted on a photo shoot to mark the occasion!

Rocking Pneumonia

Apples don't fall far from the tree. Boys got pneumonia just like Grandma! And wore breathing masks like Grandma too! Fortunately for them it was mild and they didn't end up in Manteca!
They are already back to their mischievous selves and on the home stretch of their antibiotic course!

Nicholas dragged a chair to the pantry, found Mommy's Godiva stash and had his way with it! Quiet as a mouse I might add.
